Our Position

The barrier between art lover and art collector is one of price. We removed it.

Pigments and Oil Shop was built around a single conviction: the most compelling work is often the least discovered. We present local emerging artists across four American cities, priced for the person buying their first piece and the seasoned collector building a serious collection.

Our curators source directly from studios. No intermediaries. No inflated estimates. No insider access required.

02 / Art Rotation and Fractional Ownership

The Founders

Redefining what it means
to collect.

Pigments and Oil Shop was built by two people who saw the same problem: extraordinary artists going undiscovered, and potential collectors priced out before they could begin. They decided to fix both at once.

Adrian Giannattasio
Adrian Giannattasio
Co-Founder and Curator

Adrian co-founded Pigments and Oil Shop around a single conviction: the most compelling art is often the least discovered. His curatorial practice centers on local artists working at the edge of their form, with a focus on abstract painting, photography, and glass.

His perspective on presenting local artists has been covered by PoPville, The Washington Post, and The New York Times.

Alex Giannattasio
Co-Founder

Alex approaches collection through the lens of access. Convinced that the gap between art lover and art collector is almost entirely artificial, she has devoted her practice to closing it.

Together, the Giannattasio co-founders are building a new infrastructure for art acquisition, starting in four American cities in Fall 2026.

"At Pigments and Oil Shop we present local artists before the world catches on."

ART
A New Acquisition Model

Art Rotation and
Fractional Ownership.

An art membership reimagined. Works rotate through your home on a curated schedule. Fractional ownership is available from day one. You decide when to commit, and how much.

This program is in pre-launch. Full pricing and program terms will be confirmed prior to Fall 2026 opening. Deposits are fully refundable at any time before launch.

How It Works

Three steps to living with great art.

01
Curate Your Rotation

Work with our team to select a curated set of works matched to your taste, your space, and your budget. New pieces rotate every 60 to 90 days.

02
Live With the Art

The work hangs in your home. You experience it in your light, at every hour of the day. If something feels like it belongs, it probably does.

03
Own a Fraction or All of It

Claim fractional ownership with a deposit. A portion of your rotation fees applies toward the full acquisition price whenever you are ready.
